Orapup Preorder Timeline
The Orapup has been down a long road to come to reality. We have done our best to push it along as fast as possible, but ultimately there are elements that are outside of our control. With that said, we are committed to delivering a quality product as quickly as possible.

Detailed Timeline
(updated January 21, 2013 - expected date of ship is January 31st)
We were originally told that the production mold would be completed on October 8th. Once the mold is completed it takes 7-8 days to ship the mold to Utah and get it setup to start manufacturing brushes.
September 24th
We were notified by the mold manufacturer that the mold would not be completed by October 8th and would be further delayed by a week long holiday.
October 15
Notified by the mold manufacturer that the new completion date of the mold is October 20.October 21
Mold manufacturer says that the mold is in its final stages and just needs to be polished. Estimated completion date October 25. Still on track to deliver by Christmas.November 5
After trying a test run it is discovered that there are issues with the ejector pins that eject the brush from the mold. New completion data is the week of November 11th. Decision made to fly company representative to meet with mold manufacturer. Still on track to deliver by Christmas.November 11
Ejector pin issue is fixed and company representative on site for test run. Saw issues with sinking in the handle, the bristles weren't forming properly and the head was curving. They also weren't using the right kind of plastic. New completion date is November 26th. Still on track to deliver by Christmas.
November 22
Mold manufacturer notifies us that they are on track to complete the modifications by November 26th.November 23
A test run reveals that the bristles are still not forming all the way. More mold modfications required. New completion date is November 29. Company representative will be on site for immediate approval.
November 29
Company representative at the manufacturer again and the bristles still are not coming out correctly. Further modifications being made to the mold to help the plastic inject better. New completion date is December 5th. We will not be able to ship before Christmas.December 5
Mold manufacturer's machinery goes down. It takes 4 days to repair.
December 10
The bristles are coming out much better, but they are still not perfect. Further modifications need to be made to the mold. Next test run is December 19.
December 28
The mold maker made some additional tweaks to the mold and the bristles are now forming properly. We have agreed to move forward and finalize the mold. This means modifying all 8 cavities in order to replicate the most recent success. The mold should be ready to start producing the brushes the end of January. The first brushes should ship the last week of January.January 3

January 18
We just received word from the mold maker that they are preparing to make a test run January 21st. We will have an employee on site to approve the samples from the test run and get the mold packed up and ready to ship right away. We feel confident that this will be the last test run and the mold should leave the mold manufacturer within 2 days of the test run. It will take about 5 days for the 8,000 pound mold to arrive at our production facility in Springville, Utah. We expect the first Orapups to be rolling off the press and being shipped within a couple days of the mold arriving. We are still targeting shipping Orapups before January is over. We are very anxious to get Orapups into the hands of our customers. The wait is almost over!January 21

January 28
The supplies for the first shipments are rolling in. Dr. Bob has been overseeing the production of the flavor and all is going well. After the last test run of the mold there were some new issues with the Orapup that came up. The mold maker has now resolved that and is preparing the mold to be shipped.
February 1
The mold is complete! Unfortunately the mold maker ran into one issue with the overmold leaking right before they started to pack the mold up to be shipped and it didn't ship. Fortunately the issue was quickly resolved and we can now say that the mold is producing quality Orapups. The mold is now scheduled to ship February 4 and should arrive in Utah by February 11. We will have to do a little fine tuning when the mold arrives, but we should be shipping Orapups by the middle of February.
February 8
We just got the official word from our shipping company that the mold will arrive in Utah on February 12th. From there it will take a day or two to get the mold up and running and we expect to start shipping orders out about a week later. We are doing everything we can to make this process as quick as possible.February 12
The mold is currently in route from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City. There is one more check that the mold has to clear once it arrives in Salt Lake, but the shipping company says it should be delivered to us tomorrow. It will take a couple days to get the mold up and running and then we should be shipping orders within a week after that.February 14
The mold arrived at our factory yesterday and we have been working around the clock to get it setup. We still have a little ways to go to get finished product, but the handle is looking pretty good. We hope to have it all setup and in production tomorrow.
February 21
Great news! We are now producing Orapups. We have been working around the clock to work out all the little kinks to produce a great product. We are now preparing orders to be shipped out. Orapups will be shipped in the order that they were purchased. Expect to see the first Orapups on people's doorsteps sometime next week. You will receive a confirmation email once your order is ready to ship.
